This gala is the stepping stone before the Kent County Championships, where the best swimmers from clubs in East Kent compete.

Location

This will be held at Dover Leisure Centre, an 8-lane, 25metre pool, with electronic timing and wedge blocks.

Closing Date

The closing date will be midnight on the 6th October 2024, to allow for swims from White Cliffs Swimming Club to be used for entry if needed.

You are more than welcome to submit forms early (this will make my admin easier!), or have them near completed to fill in final times to get them to me in time 😊

Who can enter, and Entry Times

This competition has entry times, meaning only those who have swam quicker than the times outlined in the attached ‘Qualifying Times’ document can enter.

For those with a lot of the times, I would recommend entering this competition, and NOT the White Cliffs gala due to it both being a higher level, as well as being cheaper entry!).

However, if after club championships your swimmer is either just outside, or just inside of the consideration time, it may be worth entering this race at White Cliffs with the aim of achieving the entry time! (I will speak to those in this situation over the coming weeks)

All events are being ran over the championships, including the distance events!

As this is a higher standard gala (level 2), we am strongly recommending that you enter all races that you qualify for.

There are individual awards as usual, and also overall age group awards, as well as club points, and it would be awesome to make a great showing for our first year!

Cost

Events are:

• £5.50 for each race entered
• For each swimmer entering we will be asking for a £5 entry fee to help us cover costs.

How to Enter

Ensure that you have a Competitive Membership.

Download and fill in the Entry Form.

Return the form to Lee via email [email protected]. Please copy in the Club treasurer [email protected] to check payment.

You will receive a confirmation that this has been received

Once accepted entries are published: transfer the total value of entries (+£5 entry fee) to the White Cliffs Swimming Club Account.

Some races may be rejected, even if within consideration, please do not send payment until we receive accepted entries lists!
